Business Analyst III

Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Analyst III who will support project initiatives, troubleshoot interface issues, and drive continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of rail operations and refinery processes, strong problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage SAP interfaces with Rail applications; troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Act as an in-house expert for Truck and Rail application systems; provide knowledge sharing across teams
• Leverage analytics tools and reporting to enhance decision-making capabilities
• Lead or support special and cross-functional projects that identify and implement business improvement opportunities
• Own and drive business process development, optimization, and sustainability for assigned Commercial functions and stakeholders

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field with a strong analytical focus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-minded approach
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to team and business goals
• Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in oil and gas logistics or transportation, with specific knowledge of rail operations
• Minimum of 3 years of SAP S4 experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and foster trust quickly
• Solid business acumen and understanding of key value drivers
• 5+ years of SAP S4 and R3 experience, specifically with:
  Vendor Billing Documents (VBDs)
  Nominations
  R3 Shipment Cost Documents
  Ticketing
• 3+ years of SAP IDoc experience
