Job Description:
Location: Houston, TX (77042) - Onsite / Hybrid
Pay Rate: $42.50 - $43 per hour pay rate
Contract Length: 12 months
Schedule:
- 5 days onsite during initial training (first few weeks)
- Hybrid schedule after training (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a Scheduling Analyst III - Renewables to support Renewable Feedstocks, Renewable Products, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, real-time inventory tracking and transaction integrity within SAP S/4HANA.
You'll work cross-functionally with Scheduling, Trading, Accounting, and offshore support teams to analyze inventory movements, resolve discrepancies, and improve processes. This is a data-intensive role ideal for someone who thrives in Excel-heavy environments and has strong SAP experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure volumetric accuracy of scheduled renewable product movements
- Monitor and validate transactions in SAP S/4HANA in accordance with accounting standards
- Run and analyze reports related to inventory builds/draws throughout the month
- Review and resolve Discrepancy Error Workbench (DEW) items
- Collaborate with schedulers, traders, and accounting teams to ensure accurate system representation of trades and positions
- Troubleshoot nomination issues and correct unintended inventory impacts in SAP
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals and inventory reconciliation
- Prepare reports and summaries of findings for leadership
- Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements
- Assist with high-volume discrepancy resolution during critical periods
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in scheduling, inventory analysis, or similar role
- Oil & gas industry experience (required)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with large datasets and ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (financial and inventory reporting)
- 2+ years of scheduling experience in energy or renewables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a strong team-oriented mindset
