Job Description:
We are Hiring Immediately for a Warehouse position!
An inventory clerk is responsible for accurately tracking, organizing, and managing a company's stock of goods and materials to ensure efficient operations. Key duties include conducting physical counts, updating inventory records using software, investigating and reconciling discrepancies, and coordinating with purchasing and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels. Inventory clerks also ensure proper storage, manage incoming and outgoing shipments, and generate reports to help prevent shortages and maintain inventory accuracy. Must use a Cherry picker to get up to shelves.
Core Responsibilities
- Inventory Tracking:Count and monitor physical inventory of materials, equipment, or merchandise to ensure accuracy.
- Record Keeping:Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inventory items and movements using inventory management software or other systems.
- Audits and Discrepancies:Conduct regular physical audits to compare with records and investigate any discrepancies between the physical count and the recorded data, reporting errors to management.
- Receiving and Storing:Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and properly store or stock items in designated locations.
- Stocking and Distribution:Organize and stock shelves or storage areas, ensuring items are properly cataloged and easily accessible.
- Reporting:Prepare inventory reports, including stock levels, movements, and discrepancies, for management.
- Coordination:Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and other departments to address inventory needs and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Organization:Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage area to facilitate efficient processes and prevent damage to goods.
Required Skills
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Meticulousness is crucial for correctly counting and recording inventory.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to keep stockrooms and records organized and systematic.
- Computer Proficiency: Competency with inventory management software and other office technologies.
- Communication Skills: Ability to report findings and coordinate with other team members and departments.
- Physical Stamina: The ability to lift, stand, and bend for extended periods.
- MUST HAVE CHERRY PICKER EXP!!!!.
