Job Description:

A well-established university is seeking a Student Services Specialist to support a centralized student support center that assists students and campus stakeholders with a variety of enrollment-related services.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing role responsible for helping students and families navigate processes such as course registration, financial aid, tuition billing, housing, and academic records. The ideal candidate will have experience working in higher education administration or student support services and thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

This position is full-time for approximately six months and requires working onsite on campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a front-line resource for prospective students, current students, alumni, families, faculty, and staff seeking assistance with enrollment and student services.
  • Provide guidance and information related to course registration, academic records, financial aid, student billing, housing, and orientation programs.
  • Investigate and resolve questions by coordinating with multiple campus departments when necessary.
  • Deliver efficient, end-to-end service for student inquiries while ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
  • Process, review, and route student documents to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist with managing in-person and virtual service queues to ensure timely response to student needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems related to student service requests.
  • Participate in campus outreach events, orientation programs, and student support initiatives.
  • Support process improvements and special projects related to student services operations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally through phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience working in higher education administration, student services, or enrollment support.
  • Experience supporting functions such as Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Housing, or Orientation.
  • Familiarity with student information systems, CRM platforms, or customer service ticketing systems.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Additional Details

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, full-time
  • Duration: Approximately 6 months
  • Location: Onsite campus role (not remote)
  • Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for special events.

$24.00 - $26.00 / hr
