Job Description:

Primary responsibilities:

• Manage Pre-Litigation and Litigation Matters: Handle attorney demands and warranty lawsuits start to finish with outside counsel Including opening new cases, managing discovery with counsel, create settlement strategies


• Negotiate settlements directly with opposing counsel


• Direct and collaborate with outside counsel in the preparation of the defense in litigation


• Evaluate litigation cases to determine proper settlement decisions based on state lemon law


• Analyze and approve outside counsels billing invoices


• Represent PCNA in diverse litigation matters, including, in court, arbitration, mediation, depositions and trials


• Manage and collaborate processes with Customer Relations and external partners to expedite pre-litigation and litigation evaluations


• Manage subrogation and arbitration warranty matters


• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies on subrogation claims


• Manage all inquiries from state agencies overseeing arbitration regulations and consumer protection laws


• Evaluate arbitration claims to determine proper settlement decisions based on state lemon law.


• Represent PCNA in arbitration hearings where a customer is represented by counsel

Experience:

• 8-10 years litigation experience, automotive industry a plus.
