Inspector A & Calibration Clerk

Now Hiring: Quality Inspector / Aerospace Manufacturing

Inspect purchased and manufactured parts using drawings, specs, and certs. Create First Article Inspections (AS9102). Perform in-process, final, and shipping inspections. Use CMM and precision gauges. Write NCRs. Scan quality docs into EPICOR. Support calibration by tracking equipment, scheduling recalibration, and working with vendors. Train toward FAA ODA unit member. This is a manufacturing facility that often requires OT to complete jobs on time. You must be flexible to work mandatory weekday OT and if necessary weekend OT, often up to 12 hours.

Key Duties

• Receiving, in-process, final, and shipping inspection
• Create FAIs (AS9102)
• Measure parts with CMM and precision tools
• Approve conforming parts; complete records
• Write and process NCRs
• Manage tools/equipment calibration
• Follow ARA procedures; suggest improvements
• Work with operators, leads, managers, and calibration suppliers

Requirements

• 2+ years inspection experience (machinist/technician)
• GD&T knowledge
• Experience with calibration
• Use of micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, hardness tester, Romer Arm, CMM, etc.
• Clear written and verbal communication
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical/Work

• Lift up to 35 lbs; stand, walk, reach, stoop as needed
• Office and factory floor; moderate noise
