Handyman

Job Description:

Corestaff, a Swipejobs company, is seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to assist with maintenance and repairs on an as-needed basis at one of our client partner universities. This temporary contract position is ideal for an experienced professional with a valid home improvement license who can handle various tasks, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general facility upkeep.  This position also requires a background check.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, and general upkeep.
• Troubleshoot and fix plumbing and electrical issues as permitted under licensing.
• Install and repair fixtures, furniture, and equipment as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from university staff and faculty.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with university and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid home improvement license (required).
• Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must have reliable transportation and necessary tools.

Schedule & Work Conditions:

• Work will be assigned on an as-needed basis depending on university maintenance requests.
• Flexible schedule, with potential for daytime, evening, or weekend work.
• Indoor and outdoor work environments may be required.
