Job Description:
We are Hiring Immediately for a Warehouse position!

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for safely handling, preparing, and securing metal materials for shipment and receiving. This role involves working with various forms of metal products including bars, coils, rods, sheets, and plates, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Load, unload, secure, and unsecure metal materials during inbound and outbound processes
• Properly block and brace materials to ensure safe transport
• Cut seals, banding, and securements using appropriate tools (e.g., bolt cutters)
• Apply protective oil to materials as needed using approved equipment
• Remove and properly dispose of metal banding and other waste materials
• Handle chains, straps, binders, and bulkheads, ensuring proper storage and organization
• Sweep and clean containers and maintain overall warehouse and yard cleanliness
• Prepare containers for return shipments
• Report any safety concerns, damages, or operational issues to management immediately
• Follow all PPE requirements, including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate work attire
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, metal handling, or transportation preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and equipment (chains, binders, saws, etc.)
• Strong attention to safety, detail, and task execution
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Work Environment:
This position operates in a warehouse setting with exposure to dust, fumes, temperature changes, noise, and vibration. The role involves working around heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
• Ability to use hands for grasping, lifting, and handling materials
• Must have adequate vision, hearing, and communication abilities to safely perform job duties
