On Call After Hours Registered Nurse for Hospice Care

Job Description:

The RN on call provides nursing care with special emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms to the hospice patient after regular office hours. Implements physician plan of care and establishes a nursing plan of care based upon nursing process.

Trains, supervises and supports the family in provision of care to the patient.

Refers patient/family to other appropriate hospice disciplines and to other community resources as appropriate.

Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid requirements outlined in the laws of licensure in the state (s) which he/she practices.

Ability to relate and treat terminally ill patients/families and their particular problems.

Monday-Thursday Schedule 5pm-8:30am + Saturday and Sunday 8am-8pm (After Hours)

OR Monday-Thursday Schedule 5pm-12am (After Hours)

$27.00 / hr
