$31.25 - $36.00 based on experience

Night Shift

Job Summary: The Production Supervisor II is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of a production area, ensuring the  achievement of volume, cost, waste, and quality standards. This role involves coordinating work schedules,  staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. The Production Supervisor II  monitors production activity, identifies process problems, troubleshoots causes, and develops effective  solutions. Additionally, this position involves suggesting improvements to enhance efficiencies and safety  measures. The Production Supervisor II also plays a crucial role in delivering or coordinating staff training and  onboarding new employees. Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and processes is a vital aspect of this  role. A bachelor's degree may be required for this position. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and provide guidance to a small group of para-professional staff in a highly transactional or  repetitive production environment. 
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to optimize production operations. 
  • Monitor daily production activities to ensure volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are met. 
  • Identify process problems, troubleshoot causes, and implement effective solutions. 
  • Propose and implement improvements to enhance production efficiencies and safety. 
  • Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity.
  • Deliver or coordinate staff training programs and effectively onboard new employees. 
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Utilize performance metrics to track and measure production performance. 
  • Provide coaching and training to staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to utilize them effectively in production operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including capacity planning, computer-aided manufacturing  (CAM), maintenance planning, manufacturing management, materials requirement planning (MRP), and  production planning.
  • Make partial staffing and pay decisions based on guidelines and policies.
  • Evaluate staff knowledge and performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and supervise a team of production personnel effectively. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field may be required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related area as an individual contributor.
  • Thorough knowledge of the functional area under supervision, including production processes, policies,  and performance metrics. 
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), maintenance  planning, manufacturing management, materials requirement planning (MRP), and production planning

Once we convert them to exempt, their pay will range from $65,000 to $75,000 based on experience.
