Maintenance Clerk

Job Description:

Summary

Support manufacturing environment by completing maintenance activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Perform minor repairs.
• Maintain a safe and productive workplace.
• Troubleshoot and/or repair facility, operations and portable equipment as defined by the company.
• Complete necessary documentation associated with the equipment maintenance program.
• Propose recommendations to improve the equipment.
• Required to travel and perform maintenance duties, as needed.
• On a rotation basis, will be required to be on call when scheduled.
• Ensure awareness of, and compliance with, relevant company/customer QHSE requirements.
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred
• Five years of hydraulic, pneumatic and/or electrical applications preferred
• Three to five years of CNC controller and/or manual machine experience preferred
• Equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Knowledge/Skills/abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to use and apply basic math skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Complete tasks and follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, in accordance with applicable procedures and/or work order..
