Only considering candidates with the following:

• Minimum 2 years' recent experience at a credit union or bank as a Teller, required
• Previous cash handling experience required
• Teller Cash Recycler experience a plus
• DNA experience a plus
• Basic math skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to speak and write clearly

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate, and efficient member transactions.
• Receive share drafts/checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verify amounts, examine share drafts/checks for proper endorsement, and enter deposits into computer records.
• Cash share drafts/checks and process withdrawals; pay out money after verification of signatures and member balance.
• Promote and explain other credit union services such as consumer and mortgage loans, IRAs, certificates, and money orders.
• Receive consumer loan and other payments; ensure payments match balances due and enter them into the computer. Generate member receipts.
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
• Process mobile deposit submissions according to procedures and apply proper extended holds when necessary.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare total amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Report any discrepancies to the manager.
• Ensure the teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
• Report malfunctions of teller terminals and other equipment used at the teller station.
• Check night depository bags and record the proper information on the credit union's forms.
• Review and process member contact information on accounts, according to procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, rules, and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
