Location: Houston, TX (77042) - Onsite / Hybrid

Pay Rate: $42.50 - $43 per hour pay rate
Contract Length: 12 months
Schedule:

  • 5 days onsite during initial training (first few weeks)
  • Hybrid schedule after training (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

About the Role

We are hiring a Scheduling Analyst III - Heavies to support Fuel Oil and Feedstock operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory accounting and transaction integrity during a large-scale SAP cleanup initiative.

You'll be responsible for reviewing complex inventory and trading transactions, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring alignment between physical movements and system records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate and ensure accuracy of fuel oil and feedstock movement transactions in SAP S/4HANA
  • Analyze inventory builds/draws and monitor data trends throughout the month
  • Review and resolve escalated Discrepancy Error Workbench (DEW) cases
  • Partner with schedulers, traders, and accounting teams to ensure proper trade and inventory representation
  • Troubleshoot nomination and ticketing issues impacting inventory balances
  • Execute corrections, accruals, and system adjustments as needed
  • Support month-end close with reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
  • Develop reports and communicate findings to management
  • Identify process gaps and contribute to operational improvements
  • Assist with high-volume issue resolution during critical reporting periods

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (scheduling, inventory analysis, or similar)
  • Oil & gas experience required (fuel oil, crude, or feedstocks preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience handling large datasets and transaction analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • 2+ years of scheduling experience in oil & gas (heavies, crude, or refined products)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
