Job Description:
We are Hiring Immediately for a Technician position in an exciting warehouse facility!

Schedule: Monday Thursday, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM EST
Friday: Reserved as a make-up day (due to weather or absence)
Travel: Up to 400 miles within Mississippi (MS), North Carolina (NC), South Carolina (SC), and Florida (FL)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and testing of water valves and fire hydrants. This role requires hands-on fieldwork in outdoor environments, ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations. Candidates must be local to the primary site and should expect occasional travel to nearby project locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform operation, maintenance, and testing of valves and fire hydrants according to established procedures.
  • Support assembly and disassembly of tools and equipment under supervision, ensuring proper cleaning and storage.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, assisting in site organization and debris removal.
  • Secure all items on vehicles following FMCSA and DOT guidelines to ensure safe transportation.
  • Participate in onsite safety meetings and Job Safety Assessments before starting tasks.
  • Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety protocols.
  • Engage in Watermark volunteer activities to support community initiatives.
  • Assist in securing loads using appropriate equipment (straps, chains, etc.).
  • Maintain organized workspaces, ensuring all accessories and tools are properly stored and accessible.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Experience in the water industry is preferred (e.g., working with valves and hydrants).
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (for future FT conversion).
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve in field conditions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage for logging reports and communication.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or respond to customer emergencies as needed.
