Process Mechanic

Job Description:

The Maintenance Process Mechanic supports a Thermal Media Manufacturing operation consisting of two coating machines, seven finishing slitters, and overall building/site maintenance activities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work a 512-day, 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
• Perform new electrical installations and maintain existing electrical systems.
• Conduct demand maintenance in all areas of Thermal Media Manufacturing.
• Complete PMs, participate in work shutdowns, generate/update procedures and prints, and order/repair spare parts.
• Support engineering and operations teams as required.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, installation/project tasks, and light fabrication tasks.

Skills and/or Knowledge Specifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in automated equipment maintenance.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting skills with the ability to drive issues to root cause.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, demonstrate initiative, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to function in an integrated operations/maintenance/staff team environment.
• Experience in chemical mixing, delivery, and coating operations.
• Electrical/electronic/machine controls experience: pumps, control valves, web conveyance.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (motors, PLCs, drives).

Desired Knowledge Specifications

• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, including PLC-5 and ControlLogix.
• Basic machine shop skills: mill, lathe, surface grinder.
• Basic sheet metal fabrication: shear, brake.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

2-shift rotating schedule
Typical rotation:

• 3 Days / 3 Nights
• 2 Days / 2 Nights
  Weekends are typically off unless business needs require otherwise.

$ 26.00/hr
