Accounting Analyst

Job Description:

Job Summary:
The Accounting Analyst supports business units by managing monthly closing activities, including recording actual results, accruals, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting transactions. The ideal candidate is results-driven, highly analytical, and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills while collaborating effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key contributor in recording and initiating product purchases and sales to third parties, as well as intercompany transactions.
• Perform monthly closing activities, including booking accruals and actuals, while ensuring accuracy of journal entries.
• Assist in resolving issues related to volume discrepancies in inventory reconciliation and invoice processing.
• Locate pipeline tickets or other custody transfer documentation and record bulk purchases, bulk sales, exchanges, and inventory movements in SAP.
• Provide support for team projects and process improvement initiatives.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with Right Angle or SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA designation, Master's in Accountancy, MBA, or MIS minor
• 1+ years of direct experience in an accounting or finance role
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Results-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization abilities
• Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills
