Process Technician

Job Description:

Summary
Set up, start, qualify, and troubleshoot injection molding processes to meet customer and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set machine parameters (temperature, pressure, time, volume) per specs and material data.
• Start runs, produce samples, inspect parts (visual + dimensional), adjust to eliminate defects.
• Qualify new/transfer tools using scientific molding and validation protocols.
• Submit samples to QA; correct issues per feedback.
• Maintain setup sheets and digital process records.
• Improve processes and work-cell layout.
• Perform mold changeovers, cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance.
• Support Tooling on mold repairs and evaluation.
• Back up Supervisor as needed.
• Perform Set-Up Mechanic or Material Handler duties when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years injection molding experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, procedures, and safety rules.
• Basic math and measurement skills (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Forklift certified.
• ITAR compliant (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual).
• Must pass background check.

Physical Requirements

• Stand/walk regularly; frequent hand use.
• Lift 10 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Loud manufacturing environment.
