Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and results-driven professional to lead our manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency within our production team. This role is pivotal in driving operational success by fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Group Leader will oversee Team Leaders and hourly employees to meet performance objectives and align with the company's long-term strategy. This is a second-shift opportunity located at our Lapeer, Michigan facility (~2:00 PM - 11:00 PM).
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
 <li>Oversee daily production operations, ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets are met.</li>
 <li>Uphold and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain efficiency and compliance.</li>
 <li>Lead daily team meetings to communicate priorities, expectations, and address any concerns.</li>
 <li>Monitor production schedules, track progress, and support on-time delivery of products.</li>
 <li>Promote a safety-first culture by proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards.</li>
 <li>Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, forklift operation standards, and internal safety policies.</li>
 <li>Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training sessions.</li>
 <li>Leverage Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity.</li>
 <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices.</li>
 <li>Provide coaching and mentorship to Team Leaders and employees, fostering skill development and engagement.</li>
 <li>Manage workforce planning, including staffing and scheduling, to meet operational demands.</li>
 <li>Oversee time and attendance tracking in UKG Kronos for accurate payroll processing.</li>
 <li>Monitor labor productivity, material usage, and scrap rates to control costs and improve efficiency.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
 <li>High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in a technical or business field preferred.</li>
 <li>Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.</li>
 <li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, Daily Management, and Material Flow methodologies.</li>
 <li>Familiarity with problem-solving techniques such as PDCA, Kaizen, and SMED.</li>
 <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).</li>
 <li>Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.</li>
 <li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.</li>
 <li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact across all levels of the organization.</li>
 <li>Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues and make data-driven decisions.</li>
 <li>Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.</li>
