Steel Fabrication CAD Drafter

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate, high-quality CAD drawings for steel structures, including beams, columns, and other components, in compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure all designs meet technical and safety requirements.
• Modify and revise designs based on feedback from engineers, architects, and other team members.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of project drawings, including dimensions, materials, and specifications.
• Maintain organized records of all draft documents and revisions.
• Ensure timely delivery of project drafts and meet project deadlines.
• Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and cost estimations.
• Follow company standards and industry regulations for design and drafting processes.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as a CAD drafter, with a focus on steel structures or related fields.
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Basic understanding of steel construction and structural design principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
