Job Description:

Work Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Hybrid (in-office 2 days per week)

Overview:
We are seeking an Logistics Coordinator III to develop and manage a comprehensive international logistics and trade compliance program. This role will establish robust processes and standard operating procedures to ensure adherence to U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements and corporate trade compliance policies. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Trade Operations:

  1. Maintain U.S. and Canadian trade compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  2. Ensure all U.S. and Canadian sites comply with applicable regulatory requirements and corporate trade compliance policies.
  3. Deliver trade compliance training to site employees on U.S. and Canadian export/import controls and company procedures.
  4. Partner with Operations & Logistics Managers to implement import/export process controls where applicable.
  5. Determine correct HTS and ECCN classifications for all new articles.
  6. Maintain and update site Master HTS and ECCN listings for all imported/exported U.S. and Canadian articles, assemblies, and systems, including ERP system updates as needed.
  7. Stay current on key U.S. and Canadian trade compliance regulations.
  8. Maintain all U.S. and Canadian import/export records as applicable.
  9. Serve as liaison with Corporate Trade Compliance on communications from U.S. and Canadian Customs.
  10. Conduct post-audit reviews of import/export documentation to ensure compliance; coordinate corrections with customs brokers and freight forwarders as needed.
  11. Pull and analyze reports from U.S., Canadian, and Customs Broker systems to monitor risk and compliance (e.g., tariff classification, country of origin, free trade agreement usage).
  12. Manage recordkeeping and processes for duty mitigation programs, such as duty drawback.

Logistics Operations:

  1. Arrange and track international shipments via air, ocean, rail, and trucking.
  2. Select carriers and manage freight bookings.
  3. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
  4. Prepare and review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
  5. Support engineering, field service, and sales teams; troubleshoot freight forwarder and customs broker issues.
  6. Provide real-time shipment updates to internal teams and customers.
  7. Resolve shipment delays, damages, or customs holds.
  8. Prepare logistics performance reports for management.
  9. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction, such as consolidating shipments or optimizing trade routes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; preference for a degree in Logistics or a related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or customs broker operations
  • Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ECCN classification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexible prioritization aligned with Americas trade compliance and business operations
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Positive, team-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Work Environment:

  • Standard office environment;
  • Standard workweek: 40 hours
  • Travel: Less than 10% within the U.S. for training or meetings
