Job Description:

Work Schedule:

  • Required to be onsite 5 days per week during training
  • After training is complete, eligible for 1 remote workday per week

Position Summary:

The Scheduling Analyst III will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of all transactions related to Crude Trading and Supply movements. This position requires deep analytical capability, strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies within the company's ERP system (SAP S4). The ideal candidate will have both accounting and operational insight, with a focus on continuous improvement in scheduling processes.

Contract role until 11/2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and verify the accuracy of all transactions related to Crude Trading and Supply movements in accordance with accounting standards within SAP S4.
  • Run and analyze various reports in SAP S4 to monitor inventory builds/draws and review data on a routine basis throughout the month.
  • Work closely with offshore managed service providers, scheduling teams, and traders to ensure positions and trades are accurately reflected in accounting records.
  • Review complex Discrepancy Error Workbench (DEW) requests from Crude Accounting and Volumetric Accounting that are escalated by schedulers, and assist with identifying appropriate resolutions.
  • Serve as a backup reviewer for DEW when a scheduler is out of the office.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Support group to troubleshoot and resolve issues when nominations do not result in the intended inventory effect in SAP.
  • Prepare detailed reports and summaries of reconciliation findings for management review.
  • Track, analyze, and communicate recurring issues or trends that may affect inventory accuracy, and assist in developing and implementing corrective actions.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements in scheduling practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide hands-on assistance in resolving discrepancies during high-intensity periods such as month-end close.

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or related field)
  • 5-10+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience running financial and inventory reports in SAP (S4 preferred)
  • 2 or more years of experience as a scheduler in the oil and gas industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication and reading comprehension skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple competing demands
  • Self-motivated and effective team player
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to internal client needs
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
