The person who fills this position will fill in until a permanent candidate is hired.  Although there are no guarantees.  his position could lead to a permanent opportunity for the right person. The duration of the work is month by month.  The Space Planner will work with space utilization data and facilities inventory on an automated or computerized system. Analyze and report on space utilization data.  The selected candidate will haveknowledge of space utilization and facilities management as well as experience in using space management computer applications.Duties include but are not limited to the following:<ul> <li>Responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing the activities associated with facilities space planning campus-wide.</li> <li>Obtain current information for the facilities inventory; enter new and revised information into a computerized or automated system. Assign or classify space according to pertinent standards and procedures.</li> <li>Provide information or report on current room utilization and dimensions.</li> <li>Coordinate and manage the long and short-term space planning needs campus-wide.</li> <li>Maintain information or data on new construction, renovations, and various remodeling.</li> <li>Conduct space feasibility and utilization studies and prepare reports on findings.</li> <li>Maintain detailed space utilization data and inventory. Research and compile data for various reports; assist in the preparation of comprehensive, highly technical, or complex reports and analyses. Recommend changes in space assignment and facilities</li> <li>inventory processing to the supervisor. Assist management in the identification of problems, trends, or future space needs and make recommendations. Work closely with others to plan room layout to include furniture, equipment, telecommunications or other pertinent needs.</li> <li>Coordinate changes in facility environment and support systems; notify management of trends or problems.</li></ul>Full-time, Part-time $36.5/hrProf23
