Job Description:

Must have food industry experience, preferably dry goods!

Execute the development, maintenance, communication and publication of the Materials Requirements

Plans (MRP), including placing orders, confirm deliveries, provide priorities, etc.

Partner with production planning and other departments to ensure business continuity, service, and cost

management

Track and provide updates on assigned key performance metrics (KPIs) like Inventory vs goal, service level,

production down time and SLOB (Slow and obsolete)

Attend production/project meetings to help drive initiatives and reporting

Understanding of inventory policy and execution with the goal to maximize customer satisfaction

and minimize costs

Participate in new product launches to ensure success of initial production runs

Education and Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or Manufacturing related field is highly desirable

2-4 years experience in production planning

Excellent communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Strong familiarity with ERP and MRP systems

Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills with the ability to assess trends and statistical data/reports.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

APICS certification strongly preferred
