Job Description:
We are Hiring Immediately for a HVAC Technician position in an exciting warehouse facility!

Position Summary:

Use take-off software to develop accurate duct and piping take-offs for projects we are submitting pricing.

Job Functions:

To perform this position successfully, employee must perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. These functions are representative, but not all-inclusive, of what is necessary

to succeed in this position:

Prepare routine piping and duct takeoffs under minimal supervision.

Assist Lead Estimator with continuous support.

Review and understand plans and specifications.

Provide support for the development of bidding strategies.

Software maintenance price increases from suppliers, updating database and estimating software.

Assist bidding process including solicitation, communication, proposals, evaluation and analysis.

Assist Lead Estimator with reviewing final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotations.

Identify project bid requirements, scope of work, non-standard work conditions.

Take off piping systems, duct systems, equipment, and materials with estimating software to develop estimated labor and material costs.

Identify information that needs to be sent out to subcontractors and that might impact project success.

Work on pipe and duct details, and equipment selections.

Attend pre-bid meetings and/or walk-throughs.

Provide regular updates and report important issues to top management in a timely manner.

Participate in company training programs and attend authorized external conferences or seminars

as required to keep current in company and industry standards.

Perform any special assignments, additional projects, or other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position as required by the executive team.
