The verification of documents is a federal requirement for the I-9 process. Each employer must ensure that documents are verified. Your friend simply needs to be a person over 18 with an email address who can view your documents in person.

What if I can’t find a friend to view my documents?

While most people find it convenient to have a friend verify their documents, you also have the option to complete this process at one of our Branch Offices. We are happy to assist you there.

How will my friend know to verify my documents?

Your friend will receive an email to their inbox with instructions. Be sure to have them check their spam box as well as it may end up there.

What if my friend did not receive the email?

Ask your friend to check their spam or junk folder. If the email is still missing, you can resend the verification request through the Swipejobs app.

My friend has verified my documents. Now what?

Once your friend has verified your documents, our recruiters will perform a final review. You will receive an email confirmation once this process is complete.

What documents can I use to verify my identity and work authorization?

You can provide a combination of documents from the Lists of Acceptable Documents. Common documents include:

List A: U.S. Passport or Permanent Resident Card

List B: Driver's License or State ID

List C: Social Security Card or Birth Certificate
